How to transfer money from AirTM to PayPal

**Note: PayPal is now a payment option again on TimeBucks. 😍

TimeBucks is one of my favorite online earning sites. It has a good variety of ways to earn, and funner ways too. I was also very happy with the PayPal cashout option. Regrettably, starting from November 2019, PayPal is no longer a payment method available on TimeBucks, due to PayPal not accepting paid-to-click sites.

However, TimeBucks has added AirTM as a payment method, which allows users to transfer money to PayPal.

If you are a regular PayPal user, rest assured that you can always withdraw money to PayPal with AirTM.

AirTM

What is AirTM?
AirTM is a peer-to-peer money transfer platform, which allows you to find a peer to help transfer your funds to your electronic wallets or bank accounts.

*AirTM offers a wide variety of methods to transfer your money, but some may have very limited availability, meaning your request may not likely be accepted by a peer. When you select a transfer method, it will indicate the availability of the method. If your request is not accepted by a peer within a specified deadline, it will be automatically canceled.

A few things to note:
1. Your AirTM account must be verified with a government-issued ID to transfer money to PayPal: upload passport, driver's license or ID, plus a selfie.
2. Provide correct information when you sign up, as your account information can only be edited by contacting AirTM support team
3. To transfer money to Paypal, your AirTM account email and PayPal account email must be the same (otherwise you will need to contact AirTM support team).


Fees:
AirTM fee: US$0.3 (this may vary slightly)
Conversion rate: 1.02 AirUSD translates to 1 USD for PayPal

*AirUSD refers to amount you have in AirTM account balance, it is equivalent to USD
*Note that PayPal charges a fixed fee of  US$0.3 as well as a 4.4% fee for receiving money. (This may vary according to your country.)



Identity verification:
Go to Settings, click Verification, and follow the instructions on the page
(It also allows you to take photos of your ID and a selfie with your mobile phone. You can do so by sending a link to your mobile phone.)

Once your account is verified, the limit for aggregate amount of sending/withdrawing will be raised to US$25,000.

How to Transfer AirTM Money to PayPal: A Step-by-Step Guide

Click on Add/Withdraw on the left menu, and select Withdraw

Select More payment methods, type PayPal in search. Select PayPal

Enter the amount you would like to transfer ($10), and it will automatically calculate and display the  amount to be sent to your PayPal (US$9.53). Click on Select.
(Here it will show the availability of the method and the average amount of time for a peer to accept.)

Below is the fee details shown on the page.
Select custom rate allows you to adjust the speed and conversion rate (the faster, the more expensive). But as PayPal transfer has high availability and is very fast, there is no need to spend extra; just stick to the default slowest.  

Check that your PayPal account email is correct, and then click on Configure.
(As mentioned earlier, your PayPal email must be the same with your AirTM's. Contact AirTM if they are different.)

*A small reminder: It is very convenient to contact AirTM support team; look for a Help icon on the lower right corner, and click on it to find Contact us. Write your question directly and it will even automatically keep a record of the URL you are at.

Next, click on Submit request

When a peer accepts your request, you will see something like the following (updated on March 2022, so the screenshot's amount is different):

On your PayPal, send an invoice or payment request to the peer. (Payment request is easier, which is what I did. Enter the amount to receive and the peer's email address and send it. Note: Do not mention AirTM in the invoice or payment request.) 

*Sending a payment request:

Notify the peer via Chat to let them know, and then wait for the peer to transfer money, and check whether you receive the correct amount in your PayPal. Chat is available for you to communicate any issues and needs to the peer. Conversations in the Chat will be saved as part of the transaction record, and may be referred to should there be a dispute.

Make sure you receive the correct amount in your PayPal (the Gross Amount before PayPal fees should match the amount indicated on AirTM or the same amount you indicated in the payment request). If the amount is correct, you can go ahead and click on Confirm received to complete the transaction.
Once you confirm the transfer, the Chat will remain available for a day.





 

If the amount received is incorrect, DO NOT click on Confirm received.  

****Important: if the peer report they have sent the payment (you will receive a notice on the website or an email), but you do not receive the money within 2 hours, you MUST cancel the transaction, otherwise this transaction will be automatically completed. (Screenshot is from a March 2022 transaction, so the amount is different.)

Rate your peer: Peers try to obtain good ratings in order to receive rewards from AirTM. They are more than happy to complete your request! So give your peer a good rating if you find their service friendly and helpful.



All fees incurred, with transferring US$10 as an example
AirTM: US$0.3+ conversion cost= US$0.47
PayPal: US$0.3+ 4.4% =US$0.72
(Note that fees above may vary slightly according to your country)
Result: Sent US$10, now have US$8.81 in Paypal balance
